GENERAL:

 

1.      Use of private motor vehicles on the trails is not allowed.

From Friday on, participants may inspect the trail only on foot or with bicycle. No dogs will be allowed on the trail during inspections or for hygienic walks!

2.      Entries for ESDRA members is via the national ESDRA member federations only, using the official entry forms. Entry for teams from countries not represented in ESDRA is possible individually via wildcards and using the official entry forms. 

3.      Micro chip identification for the dogs is mandatory. All dogs must be listed on the chipping form (one form per driver and per class). All dogs must have a valid anti-rabies vaccination.

4.      It is strictly forbidden to let dogs run loose at the event site including stake-out and parking areas, for the entire weekend of the event. Refusal to respect this requirement may lead to disqualification.

Wildcards may be issued for a limited number of teams from countries not represented in ESDRA.

Special awarding for registered Nordic breed teams is foreseen in the following classes: BM, BW, BMJ, BWJ, 1R, 1RJ, 2R, 2RJ, 4R, 4RJ, 6R and 8R. Gold Silver and Bronze medals will be provided for the first three participants with registered Nordic breed sled dog teams in each class (excepting the canicross classes), under the condition that (a) there are a minimum of four (4) registered nordic breeds teams present in the class at the start of the first day’s race and (b) each of the concerned teams have final finishing times within 150% of the first placed non-nordic breeds team. Awards are not cumulable.

 

REGISTRATION:

 

Registration through the national ESDRA members using the official entry form available on www.esdra.net . The registration forms must be received from the member federations by the ESDRA Sports Director (sports@esdra.net and cash@esdra.net) on the entry form no later than November 7th 2008.

 

PLEASE NOTE: The ESDRA Sports Committee has decided that there will be no quotas applied. The Sports Committee may however decide to limit the number of teams per nation and / or per class in case the total number of participants is exceeded.

Entries on the form should be done in order of priority in case it is necessary to limit the number of teams.

 

Registered Nordic breed teams (Siberian Husky/Samoyed/Greenland Dog/Alaskan Malamute) shall be marked in the appropriate column on the entry form; the original official registration pedigrees must be presented at the race site for the dogs in the Registered Nordic Breeds teams.

 

For participants under the age of 18 years an ESDRA Guardian Form must also be submitted.

 

DID numbers are necessary for participation.

 

All participating nations (ESDRA members or not members) shall appoint one team leader. The team leaders shall be noted on the entry forms. Team leaders shall be present at the team leader meetings, in view of their liaison task between the race organizer and their team members.

 

 

PARTICIPATION FEE:

 

All classes: 45 Euros /entry for seniors or veterans, and 30 Euro /entry for juniors.

 

The participation fee must be paid by November 7th 2008 at the latest for all requested entries, free of charge for the receiver, to one of the the ESDRA accounts. As per ESDRA Regulations Part IV § 2.8.4 and 2.8.5, late nominations and / or payments (received after November 7th 2008) will double the participation fee!

Rejected entries will be refunded.
